We've been extra busy lately working on our house and getting ready for the arrival of Isaiah's little sister next month. We've been shuffling around in the house a lot. John re-finished our basement to turn it into our master bedroom, and it looks amazing. I am so lucky to have such a handy husband. Then we turned the large upstairs bedroom into a nice big room for Isaiah. He has tons of room for all his equipment and supplies, and it's decorated just for him. He got a nice mat to do his therapy and stretches on, and he even has a couch in there for his guests. Baby will have the smaller bedroom upstairs, and we painted and are re-decorating that as well.
Isaiah has been working on feeding at his speech therapy appointments. He seems really motivated now to try new things and to eat, especially when he sees us eating. As you know, his swallowing is weak, so he still has trouble with gagging and coughing while he is eating. But it's not discouraging him, and he is getting stronger every day. Even if it's only a little tiny bit of his nutrition, I'm happy to try whatever we can to help him. He is doing so well and getting so much joy out of it.
