Isaiah has had several appointments lately, so I thought I would share his progress with you. Today he had an appointment with a craniofacial surgeon. They ordered a CT scan and it was determined that he needs a helmet to help shape his head. He was a trooper through the whole thing, even through the fitting when they put this silly sock on his head…
He will need to wear the helmet for 23 hours a day for at least three months. He has two more weeks of freedom before we go pick it up. I feel bad because he will get so hot with it on, but I know it will be good for him in the long run.
He has continued to go to his physical therapy appointments almost every week. They are working on getting him to balance himself, reach for things, and keep his flexibility up. He still isn’t grabbing things on his own, but I really hope he can someday. He would be able to have so much more fun if he could pick toys up to play with them. He still knows how to have a good time though…
He has followed up with his primary doctor regularly too. She sees him about once a month, and she thinks he is making good progress, even though I don’t always notice it because I see him every day. He didn’t really gain a lot of weight last time, so we are going to concentrate his formula a little more. He is at 17 pounds 10 ounces right now, and he is 27 inches long. He is growing up so quick!
Other than all the appointments, we have been trying to have some fun lately too. We went to the zoo last week and to the mall together. We’ve gotten better at going shopping together. We try to see the grandparents at least every other weekend. And we try to get outside as much as we can when it is nice.

That little man is a trooper!
Thanks for the updates lady!
